PLIERS FOR CUTTING-OFF AND BENDING OF NEEDLE

FIELD: medical engineering, particularly, instruments used in traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: pliers have hinge-connected blades with operating jaws and with punch and matrix positioned on them. Matrix is made in the form of flat parallel plates. One plate has transverse recess, while, the other is provided with round hole. Punch is L-shaped form with cutting edge. The latter is directed towards plane of plate with hole. It is chamfered for needle bend formation. Chamfer is positioned at an angle of more than 60 deg relative to axis which passes through transverse recess and round hole of matrix plates. Longitudinal axis of operating jaws is deflected from longitudinal axis of blades. As a result, definite geometric form and sizes of needle bend being formed are preserved. EFFECT: reduced traumatic injuries and time of operations. 6 dwg
