FIELD: medicine, particularly, roentgenology. SUBSTANCE: method involves making of roentgenogram and determination on its basis of presence of distance between femur head and cotyloid cavity. Roentgenogram of hip joint is made in rear, side and axial projections. Presence of equality of distances between femur head surfaces and external parts of cotyloid cavity on roentgenograms in rear and side projections is determined. Conformity of angular values of position of femur hip components with the following values is determined: projection servico-diaphysial angle of 130 deg, true anteversion angle of 15-24 deg, Sharp's angle of 40-45 deg, true angle of frontal inclination of 45-54 deg. EFFECT: provision of determination of proper positioning of hip joint prosthesis head in artificial cavity and determination of space orientation of endoprosthesis pelvic and femoral components. 3 dwg, 2 tbl
