A profiled plate (6,7) is laser-welded (4) to a flat plate (2) to form a rigid panel. Two panels are slid together so that the faces (8,9) interlock. Alternatively, the second profiled plate (11) is placed at a right angle to the first, for enhanced stiffness in two planes, and locked by holes (12) and lips (13).
