<p>A tundish or intermediate container for a continuous casting installation is mounted rotatably about an axis perpendicular to the casting direction and has at least two peripheral nozzles which are pref. disposed in an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation and such that one of them is always in the casting position and at least one other is above the free surface of the molten metal in the container. There are pref. three nozzles disposed at 60 degrees intervals in the same plane around the periphery of a drum shaped tundish whose longitudinal axis is the axis of rotation.</p> |
