PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph an iris of a detection subject with a low-cost structure even if the detection subject moves and the initial positioning point is drifted after the position of the detection subject is measured. SOLUTION: This iris image pickup device is provided with a position data generation section 12 detecting the position data of an eye X of a detection subject, an image process section 14 detecting the present camera position data of an iris detecting camera 13 photographing the iris of the eye X, a comparator 15 generating the camera drive position data based on the position data and present camera position data, a position driver 16 controlling the iris detecting camera 13 to photograph the iris based on the camera drive position data, a center detection section 14a detecting the center position Y of the obtained iris on a screen, and a position error calculation section 14b calculating the position error data based on the center position Y and a prescribed center position Z. The comparator 15 generates the camera drive position data controlling the iris detecting camera 13 based on the position error data so that the center position Y and the center position Z coincide with each other. |
