TREATMENT OF GAS CONTAINER POLLUTANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of gas containing pollutants capable of efficiently treating the pollutants incorporated in the gas with ozone and capable of preferentially decomposing or detoxicating a specified pollutants such as dioxin incorporated together with other large amount of harmful components. SOLUTION: The pollutant containing gas is introduced to a reaction layer 2 in which a high silica adsorbing agent adsorbing the pollutant component and also adsorbing the ozone is packed to adsorb the pollutant component to the adsorbing agent, and after stopping the introduction of the pollutant- containing gas, ozone-containing gas is introduced to the reaction layer 2 to which the pollutants are adsorbed to decompose oxidatively the pollutants at a surface of the adsorbing agent.
