PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable step plate cleaning device of the constitution of superior longevity and maintainability. SOLUTION: In the constitution of a movable step plate cleaning device 6, for the purpose of cleaning a step tread 3 having a number of cleat channels 3B on a step plate surface 3D and moving between one platform floor 2 and another platform floor, a fixed plate 6A clamped in the up and down direction and fixed between the platform floor 2 and a comb plate 4 is provided, and the width of the fixed plate 6A is of same size as the width of the comb plate 4, and an engaging section engaged with a recessed channel 4C forming the end of the fixed plate 6A and formed on the back side of an edge section 4B of the comb plate 4 is provided, and also a slide contact brush 6B being in contact with the interior of the cleat channels 3B of the step tread 3 is implanted on the end 2A of the platform 2 of the fixed plate 6A.
