PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide a method for deciding costs for each job based on the kind of an image processing, sheets, and/or option finish to be used for generating specific image quality. SOLUTION: In the case of color printing, the quality of an image to be duplicated is decided according to various factors including the kind of an image processing to be selected (affecting the amounts of coloring agent to be consumed), and the kind of paper to be used (paper sheet or non-coat paper), and option coating to be applied to the paper. The costs of a printing job are largely affected by the amounts of the coloring agent and the quality of the paper to be used. In this method, the various factors affecting the image quality can be changed, and the costs of the job can be decided based on the output image quality. Thus, a customer can select the trade-off (transaction) of the target image quality verse costs for the printing job. |
