PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make sealing glass unnecessary, to prevent peeling of films of an electrochromic antidazzle mirror, and to decrease the weight and cost by wholly covering an electrochromic layer and an electrode and reflection film including the back face and side faces with a resin coating film to protect and seal. SOLUTION: The electrochromic layer 4, 14, and an electrode and antireflection film 5, 15 are covered on its back face with a resin coating film 22, 25 which supports the mirror by mechanical strength and has functions to protect and to improve corrosion resistance. The resin coating film 22, 25 is made of a resin material having not only a protecting function but waterproof property, moisture resistance and ion shielding property same as conventional sealing glass. Therefore, the resin coating film 22, 25 shows the same functions as those of a conventional sealing resin and sealing glass, and makes the conventional sealing glass unnecessary. Thus, the obtd. mirror is made lightweight. Especially, for a curved mirror, a sealing glass having high accuracy of the curvature is not required so that not only the weight but the cost can be decreased.
