PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope assembly capable of repeatedly using a used endoscope again without disinfecting the endoscope. SOLUTION: This optical fiber endoscope assembly is provided with a flexible optical guide 1 to be inserted into the inside of a detachable sheath 2. For the sheath 2, a front end part 21 is closed by a lens 22. The small amount of a liquid 3 is filled in a space between the inner side 23 of the lens 22 and the front end part 10 of the optical guide 1 and the refractive index of the liquid matches with those of the lens and the optical guide. The sheath 2 can be abandoned after being used once and the optical guide 1 is reusable together with another sheath. The sheath 2 can be arranged at an observation position first, and continuously, the optical guide 1 can be inserted into the sheath.
