PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wood fiber board which is free from the problem of cure delay and hardly releases formaldehyde by producing the same by using, as the main ingredient, an amino resin which is prepd. at a specified molar ratio of formaldehyde to amino group and by using a persulfate, a peroxide, or an azo compd. as the cure accelerator. SOLUTION: An amino resin comprising an oligomer and/or a polymer prepd. by reacting formaldehyde with at least one amino compd. (e.g. urea, thiourea, melamine, benzoguanamine, or dicyandiamide) at a molar ratio (F/NH2) of formaldehyde (F) to amino group (NH2) of 0.4-0.8 is used as the main ingredient. At least one compd. selected from among persulfates, peroxides, and azo compds. (e.g. ammonium persulfate) is used as the cure accelerator. Pref., 100 pts.wt. (solid basis) amino resin is compounded with 0.05-20.0 pts.wt. cure accelerator.
