PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scratches on the flange of a cowl top garnish due to contact with the panel by providing a rib or ribs on at least one surface of the flange having a structure for installation by inserting in a gap in the panel. SOLUTION: In the front part of vehicle body of an automobile, a cowl is provided between an engine compartment and a cabin, and a cowl top garnish 4 is provided as a plastic part serving as surface decoration, blind, and the like. To each of the both sides of this cowl top garnish 4, a flange 4b inserted in a gap between the front fender panel 12 and a dash side panel 13 is provided in the vehicle width direction. To the front surface of the flange 4b, two pieces or so of ribs 15 are provided at certain intervals at a predetermined height. This prevents the panel scratch the surface of the flange 4b.
