METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HEATING VALUE OF THERMAL HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a heating value of printing which is not affected by characteristic variation of an ink sheet or a printing paper at a time when controlling data is formed. SOLUTION: Heating of a heating resistor in a thermal head 1 is controlled and a heating value sensor 12 is moved along the thermal head 1, then position information on the heating value sensor 12 is inputted. A heating value of each heating resistor of the thermal head 1 is obtained based on the position information and the input from the heating value sensor 12. The heating value of each heating resistor is compared with a reference heating value, then control data for controlling the heating value of each heating resistor is calculated. The control data of each heating resistor is written into a recording medium.
