PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a split type joint box for indoor wiring such as an attic, while eliminating the peeling work for exposing a cable core at constructing in the field. SOLUTION: In a split type joint box 20, an under cover 23 fixed to a male side connector 21 is fitted to an upper cover 24, in a condition such that the male side connector 21 and a female side connector 22 are fitted to each other. With this structure, outer surfaces of the male side connector 21 and the female side connector 22 are covered by the under cover 23 and the upper cover 24.
