PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a water resistance, a light resistance and a wear resistance without impairing a drape of an image receiving sheet by providing a releasable image receiving layer on a base material as an intermediate image receiving medium, developing adhesive properties by giving water or a solvent to the layer, and transferring only the layer printed onto the sheet by a pressure. SOLUTION: As the intermediate image receiving medium 1, an image receiving layer releasable from at least a base material is provided on the material. The layer 1 for developing adhesive properties by moistening a surface of the layer with water or a solvent after an image is printed and swelling or dissolving it is used. At the time of printing the image, a desired image is printed in the form of a mirror image on the layer of the medium 1, thereafter the water or the solvent is given to the layer to develop its adhesive properties, and only the image is transferred to an image receiving sheet 2 by a pressure of a transfer roll 5 or the like. Thus, a wear resistance, a water resistance and a light resistance can be improved while a drape of the sheet 2 remains as it is. |
