PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging system which can deal with color imaging easily while reducing the size by an arrangement wherein one of a plurality of thermal line heads can be selected by a selection signal and driven and signal lines for driving the plurality of thermal line heads are shared at least partially. SOLUTION: In synchronism with a clock signal CLK outputted from a CPU, a line of image data is inputted through a D flip-flop FF 70 to D terminal of an FF 71 and a data signal corresponding to k-th heating element is latched by the FF 71 based on a latch signal from the CPU. Q output from the FF 71 is applied to AND gates 601 (601c, 601m, 601y) corresponding to the heating elements Rck, Rmk, Ryk of respective colors in a plurality of thermal heads. Selection signals ST1, ST2 are inputted to the AND gates 601 and outputs therefrom are applied to the gates of switching elements, i.e., FETs 604c, 604m, 604y. |
