PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of efficiently discharging heat generated from a light source to the outside. SOLUTION: This optical pickup device is provided with a semiconductor laser element for emitting a laser light, a condenser lens 9 for projecting a laser beam emitted from the semiconductor laser element to an optical disk and a photodiode for detecting a light returning from the optical disk 1. The semiconductor laser element and the photodiode are installed in a light projecting/receiving unit 100. In this case, the light projecting/receiving unit 100 is provided with a heat discharging plate 110 for discharging heat from the semiconductor laser element 5 to the outside of the light projecting/receiving unit 100. |
