PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a printer system which can properly change imprints and images of a plurality of formats by a single printer, can print in colors, can check security, and is simple in maintenance and usage. SOLUTION: A card reader 12 disposed on the top of a printer 1 reads a magnetic card or an IC card registering a number specific for each printer, a format number and a password in the form of coded data, and carries out a security check. The card reader 12 is connected to a personal computer 3 and a display screen 4. After an imprint format 8 and a security system are set, the card reader is separated and selects the imprint format 8, switches color/monochrome printings, counts the number of prints, displays an error state, a date, a time, etc., at a liquid crystal display panel 13 singly afterwards. |
