PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the power amplifier which is very low in output saturation voltage, low in power consumption, small in distortion, and suitable for the reduction of the area of the integrated circuit. SOLUTION: An idling current is set by using a phase discriminating circuit 4 formed by providing two pairs of PMOS and NMOS transistors and current mirrors 5 and 6. Resistances Rg1 and Rg2 are connected to the drains of NMOS transistors M3 and M4 pairing with power MOS transistors M1 and M2 for output and then sufficient deflection of the gate voltages of the power MOS transistors M1 and M2 is enabled. Consequently, the power amplifier which has low power consumption and small distortion at a stationary time can be actualized with the simple constitution.
