PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively manufacture a metallic composite tube and to enhance the stability of the composite tube. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, in a 1st step, a metal band whose at least on one band side is coated with a noble metal is guided in a drawing device 1 provided with a stationary internal mandrel 4 so that the side of the coated band becomes the inside surface of a tubular inserting body to be manufactured. In such a case, one end of the metallic band 2 is retained to a drawing reciprocating carriage 15 movable to/from the drawing device and the band is bent into the tubular inserting body by the movement of the carriage 15. At this time, the width of the band is approximately equal to at least the average circumference of the tubular inserting body. In the 2nd step, a blank formed as the tubular inserting body is forced in the external tube, and, in the 3rd step, the tubes which are mutually press-fit are retained to the carriage together at one end, drawn to the final dimension with a drawing die provided with the stational internal mandrel and the external tube and tubular inserting body are press-fit by radial compression and joined to each other. |
