摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plain bearing for vibration isolation, which has excellent vibration-isolating performance while being able to be manufactured at a cost remarkably lower than the plain bearing for vibration isolation and in which height size can be inhibited in small size. SOLUTION: The plain bearing 10 for vibration isolation has a first assembly 16 combined with the lower structure 12 of a structure and a second assembly 18 united with upper structure 14, and the horizontal sliding surface 20 of the first assembly 16 and the horizontal sliding surface 22 of the second assembly 18 are slid and contacted. Vibration transmission from the lower structure 12 to the upper structure 14 is inhibited by elastic shear-deformation in the horizontal direction of a rubber sheet 4 interposed between the horizontal sliding surface 22 of the second assembly 18 and the upper structure 14 of the structure. The magnitude of the initial rigidity of the plain bearing 10 can be adjusted by properly determining the thickness of the rubber sheet 48. A partial contact between the sliding surfaces 20 and 22 is prevented by the elastic deformation of the rubber sheet 48.
