PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a T-shaped pipe which causes no water pressure drop during fire extinguishing work with a fire hydrant. SOLUTION: To permit water passage to a water flow path 2d at the upstream side of a main pipe 2 and to a branch path 3b of a branch pipe 3 by closing the downstream side of a water flow path 2d of a main pipe by operating a valve body when using a fire hydrant 9. By doing this, the volume of water does not vary at the upstream side of the fire hydrant 9 even though water in the pipe is consumed at the downstream side so that no decrease in water pressure occurs. Therefore, the fire extinguishing work will not be disturbed. Also, by closing a branch path 3b of the branch pipe 3, water can be applied only to the water flow path 2d of the main pipe 2. By doing this, the maintenance such as inspection, repair, replacement or the like for the fire hydrant 9 can be performed without stopping the flow in a water supply pipe 11.
