<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the force required to open or close the gate and thus improving the operation performance by structuring so that the action direction of the elastic force applied from the helical compression spring to the tension rod becomes the direction close to that of the tangent line on the arc that forms the track of the other end of the link arm when the link arm is displaced by swinging. SOLUTION: A gate balancer 1a disposed in an end edge portion of a truck loading space has a supporting plate 5 to be fixed in the portion near the bottom end edge of a loading space 2, and intermediate portion of a first link arm 7a is pivotally supported 6a to the supporting plate 5. Moreover, to the front end of the link arm 7a, one end of a connecting arm 8 to be connected with a connection bracket 9 is pivotally attached, with the other end portion fixed to the outside surface of the gate. The link arm 7a is urged in the gate closing direction by a helical compression spring 14 via link arms 10a, 16. The elastic action direction of the helical compression spring 14 is regulated in a direction close to the tangent line of an arc forming the track of the other end portion of the link arm 7a. Accordingly, gate opening/closing force is reduced.</p> |
