PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the sticking phenomenon of recording material to an intermediate transfer body at a transfer part to the recording material in an intermediate transfer type image forming device. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with an image carrier 1 on which a toner image T in accordance with image information is formed and carried, the intermediate transfer body 2 on which the toner image T on the image carrier 1 is successively transferred, and a batch transfer means 4 transferring the toner image T transferred and held on the transfer body 2 to the recording material 3 in batch by forming transfer electric field. The volume resistivity Rv(logΩ.cm) and the smoothness (JIS B8119) Bs (sec) of the transfer body 2 satisfy the relation of an expression Bs<=-700×Rv+11,000.
