PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scanning screen of a pair of side beams from being shifted to the scanning screen of a center beam even if the horizontal deflection frequency is increased by forming the side wall of a convergence cup into a form having a protruding side wall part protruded to a second axial direction so as to be at a distance from the center beam. SOLUTION: The side wall of a convergence cup C mounted on an electrode on the electron beam emitting end of an electron gun is formed so as to have a protruding side wall part 34 protruded in a second axial (vertical axial) direction orthogonal to a first axial direction that is the arrangement axis of three electron beams 25B, 25G, 25R. When the cup C is arranged in the horizontal deflection magnetic field generated by a deflecting device, eddy current is generated by the interlinkage of the horizontal deflection magnetic field, and a dielectric magnetic field is also generated by this eddy current, so that the difference between the induction magnetic field acting on the center beam 25G and the dielectric magnetic field acting on a pair of side beams 25B, 25R can be minimized.
