PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner control device of high reliability which can stop a compressor safely and certainly and has a switching means equipped with excellent operating characteristics, component lifetime, and durability. SOLUTION: A control device of an air-conditioner includes a power supply circuit 22 equipped with a regular direction converting means 8 to rectify the three-phase input AC power 21 into DC, an inverting means 9 to invert into AC the output power from the regular direction converting means 8, and an inverter control means 10 to supply command signals relating to variable voltage and variable frequency to the means 9, whereby a compressor 3 in a refrigerant circuit is driven under control on the basis of a high pressure given by a high pressure sensing means 11 on the discharge side of the compressor 3, and a switching means 12 opens and closes the circuit 22 and stops power supply to the compressor 3 when the high pressure of refrigerant sensed by the means 11 has exceeded the specified value to indicate a failure in the high pressure.
