PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a zero point without removing a control rod drive motor unit or the like by releasing a brake for a motor with a brake in a control rod drive mechanism, using operation different from that for the motor. SOLUTION: This, motor for a control rod drive mechanism 1 is a motor 34 with control brake 35 (a combined set 33) of a nonexciting operation type using commonly a three-phase power source of a drive source for the control rod mechanism 1 for controlling the output of a nuclear reactor, and is provided with a brake spring 26 for the brake 35 and a gap adjusting bolt 38 to release the brake 35 by removing them, and is provided detachably with a manual adjustment handle 42 connected to a motor rotary shaft 36 to rotate the motor 34.
