PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system for preventing any operation miss that a printer in different PDL(page description language) is registered, and for simplifying a printer registering operation in a group. SOLUTION: A first printer group 2 is driven by a first printer driver 1, and a second printer group 4 is driven by a second printer driver 3. Printers 6-8 in the groups are registered in an operation system(OS) 5, and the information can be obtained from a group setting program 9. The group setting program 9 inquires for the PDL setting of each printer in the group of the OS 5. Thus, it is possible to prevent any operation miss that the printer in different PDL is registered.
