PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water supply device capable of lowering a running cost by suppressing consumed power to a minimum value upon control of a heat retaining combustion. SOLUTION: A hot water supply device comprises a heat exchanger 2 for heating water from a water inlet passage 5 under the combustion of a burner 3 and supplying hot water, a control means H for controlling the combustion of the burner 3 an operation command means 16 for switching a hot water supply operation state to a hot water supply stopping state, and a heat retaining operation command means HS for commanding the execution of a heat retaining the operation. While the hot water supply operation state is commanded by the operation command means 16, the control means H controls the combustion of the burner 3 to perform an ordinary combustion control and performs a heat retaining combustion control by controlling the combustion of the burner 3. While the hot water supply operation stopping state is commanded by the operation command means 16, when the execution of the heat retaining operation is commanded by the heat retaining operation command means HS, the control means H performs the heat retaining combustion control.
