PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester resin composition capable of improving both heat resistance and surface hardness of a polycarbonate without impairing the transparency of the polycarbonate, and to provide a method for producing a molded product using the composition. SOLUTION: This polyester resin composition is prepared by incorporating (A) an aromatic polyester having both (A1) isophthalic acid units and (A2) terephthalic acid units as dicarboxylic acid components and both (A3) 3,3',5,5'- tetramethyl-4,4'-biphenol units and (A4) 1,1'-binaphthalene-2,2'-diol units as diol components with (B) a polycarbonate. It is pref. that a composition ratio of the aromatic polyester (A) is, A1+A2=50 mol.% and A3+A4=50 mol.% therein A1 is 00-50 mol.%, A2 is 50-0 mol.%, A4 is 3-50 mol.% and A3 is 47-0 mol.%, and a composition ratio of the aromatic polyester (A) with the polycarbonate (B) is 2:98 to 98:2.
