The invention concerns an element consisting of at least one planar part (1), fixed to a support (2) and designed to be subjected to at least bending stresses. The invention is characterised in that said part (1) is provided with a modified resistance zone, delimited at least partially by one or more broken lines (6), said broken line(s) (6) extending parallel to one and/or the other of said part opposite faces between which its thickness is defined, so as to reduce the risks of rupture by local excess of the elastic limit of the material forming said part (1). The invention also concerns a vehicle interior covering, in particular a dashboard or the like, consisting of such an element.
