PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that can prevent the noise deterioration of an output in a read circuit due to the circuit noise of an FPN correction circuit with a small circuit scale. SOLUTION: An FPN correction circuit of a bolometer type infrared ray sensor 101 of this image pickup device is provided with a bias current cancellation circuit 1000 that cancels a bias current except a signal current component in all currents flowing through the bolometer. An FPN correction memory 109 stores dispersion in a current caused due to dispersion in the resistance of the bolometer, the output digital data of a FPN correction signal generated in accordance with resistance dispersion in the stored each bolometer change the load resistance of a resistor group 106 that decides a bias current 1102 of the bias current cancellation circuit 1000 for every pixel and controls the bias current 1102 to carry out the FPN correction.
