摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the wearing of furnace bottom brick and sidewall brick by embedding at least two pieces of thermometers in the furnace bottom brick of a blast furnace, obtaining a coefficient of convective heat transfer of molten iron from the values of these thermometers and adjusting the cooling of the furnace bottom brick from this coefficient of convective heat transfer to grasp a starting state of the wearing, at an early stage. SOLUTION: At the time a solidified layer 22 on the furnace bottom brick 13 is formed by the unsuitable cooling of a bottom plate 14, the abnormality in the furnace condition, etc., the convection (arrow mark) of the molten iron is generated in the bottom part of the blast furnace, and the sidewall brick 12 and the furnace bottom brick 13 are worn, like the dotted line shown in the figure. In order to prevent this state, at least two pieces of thermometers T0, T1 are embedded in the furnace bottom brick 13 of the blast furnace, and coefficient of convective heat transferαof the molten metal is obtd. from values of the thermometers T0, T1 to adjust the cooling of the furnace bottom brick 13 from the coefficient of convective heat transferα. The cooling degree and the cooling area at the center part and the outer peripheral part, are adjusted so that the coefficient of convective heat transferαin made in the range of 3.0-7.0.
