PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to well display both of television/video images and characters/graphics with one piece of liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The upper side of the display section of the liquid crystal display panel 1 is constituted as a television/video image display section 4 and the lower side thereof is constituted as a character/graphic display section 5. Respective red, green and blue pixel electrodes R, G, B are delta arrayed in the television/video image display section 4. The respective red, green and blue pixel electrodes R, G, B are stripe arrayed in this character/graphic display section 5. Then, both of the television/video images and the characters/graphics may be well displayed with one piece of the liquid crystal display panel 1.
