PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust the height of a table so that a height for executing a work may be always about constant in placing an objective article on the table of an elevator or taking out it. SOLUTION: A sensor 3 is arranged to a support member 4 provided on a device body 2 so as to watch A1 located at a position equal to the working height of a worker. Many sheet papers are previously loaded on a table 53 as an objective article 56, and the worker takes off the sheet papers in order from their upper side. In this case, a sensor 3 detects the existence of the objective article 56, if detecting nonexistance of objective article, the control section of a main body 2 sends an actuation signal to the hydraulic pump 54 of an elevator to raise the table through a hydraulic cylinder 51. This lifting action continues until the sensor 3 gives the detection signal of the existence of the objective article again, and then a next taking out work is carried out again. The table 53 rises automatically in order according to the process state of a work for keeping the taking out position of the sheet paper at about fixed height of A1. Thus the operation of a foot switch becomes unnecessary and the work can be quickly, easily and certainly carried out.
