PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a printer housing in size and in weight and to improve printing quality without deviation in a column direction in terms of a printing structure of a thermal printer. SOLUTION: In a printing structure of this thermal printer, a line head structure body 3 is suspended such that it is brought into intimate contact with a circumference of a platen roller 2 which is suspended between side frames 1a, 1b of a printer frame 1 by being rotated around one end thereof as a fulcrum. The rear side of the line head structure body 3 is pressed against the platen roller 2 by a head pressing means 4. The head pressing means 4 consists of a head pressing beam 4 which is suspended between side frames 1a, 1b and is constituted such that a plurality of head pressing spring pieces are cut and raised therefrom with respect to a width of a paper.
