PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the tenacious fitting to a member and at the same time, prevent the member from being impaired by bonding a thermoplastic plastic sheet to a cushioning sheet and at the time, vacuum-molding the laminate to a specified shape after thermally softening it. SOLUTION: A cushioning sheet 5 is bonded to one of the faces of a thermoplastic plastic sheet 4 to obtain a laminated sheet 6. Polystyrene or the like is used as the thermoplastic plastic sheet 4 and a fiber knitted and woven web or the like is used as the cushioning sheet 5, both having stiffness and cushioning properties and further high heat resistance. Next the laminated sheet 6 is thermally softened to be set in a vacuum-molding die 7. After that, the laminated sheet 6 is vacuum-molded using a bottom force 8 and at the same time, is pressed using a tap force 9. In this case, the cushioning sheet 5 is arranged on the fitting part side. Thus this masking material is firmly fixed to a member and perfectly protects the member against a surface treatment sand also prevents a ground treatment or the like from being impaired.
