PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smooth release and separation of locking between male and female members with one hand in a front releasable type buckle. SOLUTION: An elastic piece 21 is so arranged that a male member 2 contacts the internal surface of a front plate part 12 of a female member 1 on the side of the tip thereof being elastically deformed as being inserted into the female member 1. The front plate part 12 of the female member 1 is provide with a locking part 15 which interlocks with the tip part 21a of the elastic piece 21 at a specified insertion position R of the male member 2. An operating piece 16 is provided to allow an operation of being pressed into the female member 1 and the operating piece 16 is pressed onto a contact face 21c of the elastic piece 21 by the operation so that the elastic piece 21 is elastically deformed in a direction to release locking. The contact face 21c of the elastic piece 21 is provided with an inclination so arranged that the contact face gradually approaches the front plate part 12 of the female member 1 from the side (x) of the insertion point thereof into the female member 1 toward the side (y) before the point. With the inclination, the operating piece 16 is provided so as to make the male member 2 pressed onto the elastic piece 21 slip out.
