PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a desk by systematically realizing a function of adjusting the height of a top plate and a function of adjusting the level thereof. SOLUTION: In a desk with the height of a top plate 3 adjustable within a specified range through a height adjusting mechanism 5, the top plate 3 is so arranged to be supported by a plurality of stretchable leg supports 1 and the height adjusting mechanism 5 is so constructed to utilize the leg supports 1 while the degree L of stretching the leg supports 1 can be individually adjusted within a specified adjusting rang of the top plate 3 and within a range slightly exceeding it.
