PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector provided with a unique terminal/ housing structure capable of holding terminals in a housing. SOLUTION: Plural terminals 22, 24 are inserted into a terminal receiving passage 19 in the inserting direction. Each of terminals 22, 24 includes contact parts 22a, 24a and terminal parts 22b, 24b. Furthermore, each of terminal 22, 24 includes a pair of L-shaped wings projected from both sides. Each wing is formed with a first leg projected outside of the terminals 22, 24 in the horizontal direction with respect to the inserting direction and a second leg projected from the outer end of the first leg in the inserting direction. The first leg has a tool engaging surface exposed in a direction opposite to the inserting direction, and the second leg has an inner holding surface separated from the terminals 22, 24 and is directed inward. A housing 12 includes a holding surface for forming a press-fit with the inner holding surface of the terminals 22, 24 and which faces toward the outside of the terminals 22, 24.
