PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium excellently recording so that a recording part has a low reflectance and performing excellent reproduction. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium consists of a transparent substrate 1, a light transmissive dye layer 2 formed on the transparent substrate 1 and a reflection layer 3 formed on the dye layer 2, and changes the thickness of the dyestuff layer 2 by irradiating with a laser beam to record information. In such a case, the thickness of the recording part where 5 hollow 5 of the dye layer is to be formed is set to that the reflectance in the recording part becomes nearly minimum. |
