PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coat cutting machine and its usage intended to raise the joining force at a site to be cut on a coated food so as to avoid exposing the included material therefrom and improve the quality of the coated food. SOLUTION: This coat cutting machine has such a scheme that, a shutter 3 represents a combination of n-shutter pieces 9, n-vertical shafts 37 are set up at equal intervals along the circumference of a specified circle S concentric with a cut opening 5, the respective shutter pieces 9 are disposed so as to be swingable around the axes of the corresponding vertical shafts 21 the cut opening 5 is designed to open/close when the n-shutters 9 are swung synchronously in the normal/reverse direction; when the cut opening 5 is gradually closed by the action of the n-shutter pieces 9, a minute twist gap 31 serving to twist a coat material W is developed at the center of the cut opening 5; for this purpose, it is so designed that the length from the tip of the edge 13 of each of the shutter pieces 9 to the axis of the corresponding vertical shaft 31 is slightly shorter than the radius R of the specified circle S. |
