PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically display a divided screen of an optimum reduced scale in the case of requiring to simultaneously display user's present location and a destination. SOLUTION: When a user selects a two-screen display mode and selects also a user's own vehicle position/destination automatic display mode, a screen division means 106 divides the display screen of a display means 104 into two screens and a reduced scale determination means 107 determines a reduced scale capable of simultaneously displaying the user's own vehicle position and a destination on the divided screens most in details and an automatic reduced scale changing means 108 reads out the determined scale-reduced map from a map data storing means 103 and displays the read map on the display means 104. When the user selects a user's own vehicle position/destination selective display mode, a reduced scale selection means 109 displays a map by a reduced scale specified by the user, so that the position of the user's own vehicle and the destination can be simultaneously displayed in accordance with user's preference. |
