PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select colors of clothes and a lipstick and their combination which fit a person by dividing a face color to a plurality of groups by an evaluation value based on a visual sense evaluation for a plurality of evaluation items and setting the divided colors as indices. SOLUTION: In order to select colors of clothes and a lipstick which fit a specific person with using a face color as an index, for instance, the examinee is seated at an evaluation booth with a color cloth hung at the breast, while an evaluation person looks at the examinee under predetermined conditions and evaluates step by step for predetermined items related to a face color and a total impression. The face color is cluster analyzed and divided to a plurality of groups on the basis of the evaluation data. With the divided face colors being used as indices, information on a fit color, etc., is obtained for each face color, whereby a color of clothes for the specific person can be selected. Thereafter, how the face color looks when compared with lipstick colors is processed in the same manner, so that a lipstick can be selected. Moreover, the same method is applied to a combination of the color cloth and lipstick color.
