PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the diameter of a spool while suppressing the increase of the length in the direction of spool shaft. SOLUTION: This double-bearing reel is provided with a reel main body, a spool, a handle shaft and a driving force transmission mechanism. The spool has a cylindrical line-winding drum and is rotatably supported by the reel main body. The handle shaft has a handle at one end and is placed to position the other end of the shaft on the inner circumference of the line-winding drum of the spool and rotatably supported by the reel main body. The driving force transmission mechanism transmits the rotational force applied to the handle shaft to the spool.
