PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water condensate on a ceiling of a steaming and cooking chamber from dropping on foods and deteriorating its quality as does a conventional steaming and cooking device for steaming and cooking food such as a gyoza, a shao-mai, a hamburger steak, a chawan-mushi or the like. SOLUTION: A conveyer 4 is arranged through a steaming and cooking chamber 3, wherein a steam spurting part 8 is provided inside, and surrounded by a heat insulating wall 2. A steaming and cooking device 1 is composed so that objects 5 carried into the steaming and cooking chamber by the conveyer 4 are steamed and cooked. A roof-shaped covering plate 9 is provided on an upper part of the conveyer 4, and the steam spurting part 8 is provided on an upper part of the roof-shaped covering plate. Thereby, condensed water does not drop on the objects so that quality of the objects does not deteriorate.
