PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for managing design information for automatically preparing design information in a post-stage process from design information in a pre-stage process in a program preparation process, for improving the quality of design information, and for improving the quality of a program. SOLUTION: Design information 10 in a Pre-stage process is inputted to a design information generating part 20, and a data format and a data content are converted according to a prescribed condition so that design information 50 in a pre-stage process is obtained. That is, desired design information is obtained without any artificial work. Also, the illegal information and difference information of the origin of generation design information 100 and the destination of generation design information 200 are always monitored by a design information monitoring part 30, and recorded in a monitor recording part 40. Thus, the design information can be easily managed, and the quality of the design information at the time of developing this system or changing this system can be improved.
