MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF INTAKE SYSTEM SILENCER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure of an intake system silencer capable of shortening the branching part of an intake duct, preventing swinging displacement of the silencer, and securing the air-tightness of the intake duct and a silencer mounting part. SOLUTION: A mounting structure is configured so that a cylindrical mounting part 8 of a silencer 6 is inserted fast in a branching part 4 protruding from the body 2 of an intake duct 1, wherein a flange 10 installed at the forefront of the mounting part 8 is engaged with a widened diametric seating part 12 formed on the base of the branching part 4 in continuity to the duct body 2, and the branching part 4 and the fitting part of the mounting part 8 are coupled together by rivet 18.
