PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an electrophotographic selenium photoreceptor excellent in cleanability. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer comprising a selenium material is formed by vacuum deposition on a substrate surface-roughened to 2.2-6.6μm max. height Rmax and 0.3-1.15μm average roughness Ra to obtain the objective electrophotographic selenium photoreceptor. An electrically conductive material is used as the substrate and an Al alloy is appropriately used from the viewpoint of suitability to roughening. An Se-As alloy is suitable for use as the constituent material of the photosensitive layer from the viewpoint of sensitivity and hardness.
