摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the outside diameter accuracy of a transport roller and keep the frictional resistance of the surface sufficient by forming a frictional resistance increased part comprising very small metallic projections on the outer peripheral surface of a metal shaft by plating. SOLUTION: A transport roller 10 is so constructed that a frictional resistance increased part 22 comprising a number of very small metallic projections 21 is formed on the outer peripheral surface 12 of a metal shaft 11 by plating. The size of the metallic projection 21 is normally such that the diameter and the height ranges from severalμm to several tensμm. But in this case, cylindrical metallic projections 21 with a diameter of 10μm and a height of 10μm are erected and arranged in line in the axial direction L of the metal shaft 11 at spaces of 50μm, the lines of the metallic projections 21 are provided at spaces of 50μm in the circumferential direction on the metal shaft 11, and the adjacent lines are shifted in the axial direction L of the metal shaft 11 by 25μm. Thus, the metallic projections 21 are arranged in a zigzag. Accordingly, the metallic projections 21 are hard to slip off the metal shaft 11 even in a long-time use.
